As my two-month artistic residency at the "Forn de la Calç" (CACIS) in Catalunya is coming to the end, I joined a group of local artists for an exhibition in the forest. My educational installation on endangered animal species in Spain will now be part of CACIS' permanent exhibition. Click to read article about the event on the Catalan newspaper Regio7.

For "Building on a dream" I visited the ecovillage Sieben Linden in Germany to document the community's daily life and creative solutions to social, environmental and economical challenges. In the next couple of months I will be photographing eco-communities in Portugal, Italy and Spain.

Kodak is sponsoring one of my projects with TRI-X and Portra film. "Building on a dream" will give an insight into communities that have become a model of a low impact way of life: a worldwide phenomenon that responds to global problems through personal action.

I was granted the International Fellowship for Residency Projects from the Centre of Contemporary Art and Sustainability (CACIS), "Forn de la Calç" in Catalunya, Spain. My artist-in-residence project will focus on the local traditional knowledge.
