Inês Querido is a documentary photographer working on long-term projects. Born in a small Portuguese town, Inês moved abroad after graduating from photography and graphic design in Lisbon. During the last five years she studied, worked and exhibited in New York, London, and Amsterdam.
Her path and photographic practice has been profoundly enriched by collaborations with renowned photographers, galleries and photographic agencies. In recent times she dedicated herself exclusively to her own projects, supported by fellowships from the DGArtes in Portugal and the Center of Contemporary Art and Sustainability in Catalonia Spain, where she was invited for an artistic residency in the fall of 2011.
Currently based in the city of Modena in Italy, Inês is working on several projects amongst which "Building on a dream", a personal assignment sponsored by Kodak that aims offer and insight into communities that have become a model of a low impact way of life.
